Karabati Mission Care Launches Clean Water Initiative for 500+ Students
Turning the Tide on Water-Borne Diseases
For years, students at Getare Primary School in Kisii have struggled with inconsistent access to clean water. High rates of absenteeism due to preventable illnesses like typhoid and cholera often hindered the academic potential of these bright young minds.
The Solution:
Last month, Karabati Mission Care deployed a technical team to install a high-capacity rainwater harvesting system integrated with a solar-powered UV filtration unit. This system ensures that even during the dry season, the school has a reserve of purified water.
Community Impact:
500+ Students now have access to safe drinking water. 90% Reduction in water-related school absences reported by the headteacher. Local Employment: We partnered with local Kenyan contractors for the installation, supporting the regional economy.
We want to extend a massive thank you to our global donors. Your support isn't just buying tanks and pipes; it's buying time in the classroom and a healthier future for these children.
